ScrollBreak is a browser extension that helps you reduce time spent on YouTube. This policy explains what data the extension handles.
ScrollBreak collects anonymous, aggregate usage analytics to help us understand how the extension is used and improve it. Specifically:
We do not collect or transmit:
Your preferences (time limit, focus-mode options, reminder intervals) and your usage history and challenge records are stored locally in your browser via Chrome's storage. If you are signed into Chrome Sync, your settings may sync across your own devices through Google; they are not sent to us.
Anonymous analytics are used solely to measure overall adoption and engagement (for example, how many people install and continue using ScrollBreak) so we can decide how to develop the product. Data is analyzed only in aggregate.
Events are sent to a server we operate. Your IP address is visible to the server transiently as part of the network request and is used only for abuse/rate-limiting; it is not stored alongside your events.
You can disable all analytics at any time: open ScrollBreak's Settings and turn off the analytics/telemetry toggle. When disabled, the extension sends no analytics data.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or any unrelated purpose.
